The density of an object is the mass of the object divided by its volume.

Remember that mass of an object is the amount of matter that the object contains. The unit for mas in the standard international unit system is the kilogram (kg), which is 1000 grams; the unit of mass in the US is the pound (lb), which is 453.592 grams.

The volume of an object is the amount of space that the object occupies. The unit for volume in the standard international unit system are the cubic meter (m^3) and the liter (L); 1 cubic meter equals 1000 liters.

The density of an object is the quantity of mass of the object per unit of its volume. The unit for mas in the standard international unit system is the kilogram per cubic meter (\frac{kg}{m^3}).

Now, lets create our hypothesis:

If the mass and the volume of and object are known, then its density can be calculated dividing the object's mass by its volume.

We can conclude that the density of an object can be obtained by dividing its mass by its volume.

Explanation :

Density is defined as mass per unit volume.

i.e. \rho=\dfrac{mass}{volume}

Mass of an object is the amount of matter contained in the body. The mass of the body remains the same. It is a scalar quantity.

Volume of an object is the space occupied by it.

So, the density of an object depends on its mass and its volume.

<em>If the mass of an object increases then its density increases because density is directly proportional to mass.</em>

<em>Similarly, If the volume of an object increases then its density decreases because density is inversely proportional to volume.</em>

The density of an object is determined by knowing its mass and ts volume. The mass should be in grams and volume is in mL or cm^3.

the resistivity of gold is 2.44×10−8Ω⋅m at room temperature. A gold wire that is 0.9 mm in diameter and 14 cm long carries a cur
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

0.03605 V/m is the electric field in the gold wire.

Explanation:

Resistivity of the gold = \rho = 2.44\times 10^{-8} \Omega.m

Length of the gold wire = L = 14 cm = 0.14 m ( 1 cm = 0.01 m)

Diameter of the wire = d = 0.9 mm

Radius of the wire = r = 0.5 d = 0.5 × 0.9 mm = 0.45 mm = 0.45\times 0.001 m

( 1mm = 0.001 m)

Area of the cross-section = A=\pi r^2=\pi r^(0.45\times 0.001 m)^2

Resistance of the wire = R

Current in the gold wire = 940 mA = 0.940 A ( 1 mA = 0.001 A)

R=\rho\times \frac{L}{A}

V(voltage)=I(current)\times R(Resistance) ( Ohm's law)

\frac{V}{I}=\rho\times \frac{L}{A}

We know, Electric field is given by :

E=\frac{dV}{dr}

E=\frac{V}{L}

E=\frac{V}{L}=\rho\times \frac{I}{A}

E=2.44\times 10^{-8} \Omega.m\times \frac{0.940 A}{\pi r^(0.45\times 0.001 m)^2}=0.03605 V/m

0.03605 V/m is the electric field in the gold wire.

a bat experts a 120 N force on a 0.134 kg baseball for 0.04 seconds. what impolse is excerted on the bat
musickatia [10]
The impulse exerted by a force F on an object in a time \Delta t is given by
I = F \Delta t
In our problem, we have a force of 120 N: F=120 N, applied to the baseball for a time of \Delta t=0.04 s. Therefore the impulse is
I=F \Delta t = (120 N)(0.04 s)=4.8 Ns
