Answer:

If we already have two points of the line, we can find its slope (m), its intersection with the y-axis (b), hence its <u>point-slope form equation </u> in the following way:

Let's call Point 1: (x_{1},y_{1})  and Point 2: (x_{2},y_{2})

<u />

<u>The </u><u>Slope equation</u><u> is: </u>

m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

Now, the <u>equation of the line in its point-slope form</u><u> </u>is:

y=mx+b

And we can find the intersection with the y-axis (b) by evaluating the equation with any of the two given points and then isolating b.

RST is dilated about the origin,O, to creat R’S’T’. Point R is located at (3,9) and point R is located at (1.2, 3.6). Which scal
sashaice [31]

Answer:

The scale factor used is 0.4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

R = (3,9)

R' = (1.2, 3.6)

Required

Determine the scale factor of RST

The question can be solved using scale factor formula

Scale factor is calculated as thus;

Scale\ Factor = \frac{New\ Length}{Old\ Length}

In this case; R' is the new length and R is the old length

Scale\ Factor = \frac{R'}{R}

Substitute the values of R and R'

Scale\ Factor = \frac{(1.2,3.6)}{(3,9)}

Factorize the denominator

Scale\ Factor = \frac{(1.2,3.6)}{2.5(1.2,3.6)}

Scale\ Factor = \frac{1}{2.5}

Scale\ Factor = 0.4

<em>Hence, the scale factor used is 0.4</em>

Hi, I am new to this website :) I'm currently taking an online trig class on De Moivre's theorem and I don't understand it at al
Vladimir [108]
De Moivre's theorem uses this general formula z = r(cos α + i<span> sin α) that is where we can have the form a + bi. If the given is raised to a certain number, then the r is raised to the same number while the angles are being multiplied by that number.

For 1) </span>[3cos(27))+isin(27)]^5 we first apply the concept I mentioned above where it becomes

[3^5cos(27*5))+isin(27*5)] and then after simplifying we get, [243 (cos (135) + isin (135))]

it is then further simplified to 243 (-1/ √2) + 243i (1/√2) = -243/√2 + 243/<span>√2 i
and that is the answer.

For 2) </span>[2(cos(40))+isin(40)]^6, we apply the same steps in 1)

[2^6(cos(40*6))+isin(40*6)],

[64(cos(240))+isin(240)] = 64 (-1/2) + 64i (-√3 /2)

And the answer is -32 -32 √3 i

Summary:
1) -243/√2 + 243/√2 i
2)-32 -32 √3 i
