Jane is the driver of a SUV involved in a head on collision on I-20. She did not have a seat belt on and was ejected through the
front windshield. EMS found her face down with hyperextension of her neck. She was intubated, placed in a cervical collar and transported to a local trauma hospital. Upon arrival initial CT/MRI indicated a C-2 complete cord transection with severe L frontal lobe injury noted as hemorrhagic.
