Option A is correct.

Okay, let's look at the answers after reviewing the table to see which ones we can eliminate. Right off the bat I see we can eliminate answer B because during week 2 Tori does NOT have exactly $15 more in savings.

Option C is also untrue because in week 1 5 * 15 is NOT 20.

Option D is incorrect because Martin's savings go up by 5 per week, and Tori's go up by 20 per week, so in Week 5 they would have $100 and $30.

Option A is correct because if you multiply Martin's savings each week by 4, they always equal Tori's corresponding savings.

$5 * 4 = $20

$10 * 4 = $40

and so on.
Hope this helped.

The answer is A because
20 = 4 \times 5 \\ 40 = 4 \times 10 \\ 60 = 4 \times 15 \\ etc

The formula for the sum of n terms in an arithmetic progression is:
S = n/2 * (2a + (n-1)d)
Here, the common difference, d, is 8 and the first term, a, is 1. Substituting these into the formula, we get:

S = n/2 * (2*1 + 8(n - 1))
S = n + 4n² - 4n
S = 4n² - 3n
The answer is A.

Malik's arts and crafts shop has a bolt of crimson velvet 32 meters long. A customer came in during the morning and bought 120 c
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

Amount of crimson velvet left = 3200 -  120 - 1400 = 1680  cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The arts and craft shop has a bolt of crimson velvet of 32 meters long. A customer bought 120 centimetres of the velvet. In the afternoon another customer bought 14 meters. The remaining length of crimson velvet Malik shop possess after the morning and afternoon sales can be calculated below.

The total length of the crimson velvet = 32 meters. Since our answer should be in centimetre we will convert all the units to cm.

total length = 32 m

1 m = 100 cm

32 m = ?

cross multiply

total length in cm = 32 × 100 = 3200 cm

The first customer bought 120 cm

The second customer bought 14 m so let convert again.

1 m = 100 cm

14 m = ?

cross multiply

the second customer length in cm = 14 × 100 = 1400 cm

The amount left in the shop will be as follows

Amount of crimson velvet left = 3200 -  120 - 1400 = 1680  cm

In a fibonacci sequence, the first number is 1 and the tenth number is 111. find the second number.
Schach [20]

Let x be the second number in the Fibonacci sequence.

Then we have the sequence is as follows:

1st: 1
2nd: x
3rd: 1 + x
4th: 1 + 2x
5th: 2 + 3x
6th: 3 + 5x

7th: 5 + 8x

8th: 8 + 13x

9th: 13 + 21x

10th: 21 + 34x

so 111 = 21 + 34x, so 34x = 90, so x = 90/34 = 45/17.

Thus the second term would be 45/17. (if I haven’t made any errors in arithmetic).
