Area of each lateral area = 1/2 * 14* 15
Total lateral area  ( as it has 3 lateral sides)  = 3 * 1/2 * 14 * 15 =  315 cm^2

Total surface area = 315 * 1/2 * 14 * 15 =  420 cm^2

Hexagonal pyramid

Lateral area = 6 * area of each triangle =  6 * 1/2 *10 * 35 =  1050 cm^2

Total S A = 1050 + area of the hexagonal base =  1050 +  3 sqrt3 10^2 / 2
= 1050 + 259.8 = 1309.8 cm^2

1. Over 3 years, how much more does $3000 in a savings account with an APR of 3.2% compounded
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

$1080

Step-by-step explanation:

((3000 \times 0.032) \times 2) \times 3 = 576

convert % to decimal by multiplying 3.2%x100=0.032

then multiply by initial amount 3000x0.032

then multiply by 2 because it's compounding semiannual

then multiply by 3 because it's over a 3 yr period

do the same for the quarterly compound but multiply by 4 because it's quarterly

((3000 \times 0.03) \times 2) \times3 = 1080

over a 3 yr period the quarterly compounded amount will earn:

1080 - 576 = 504

$504 more than the account compounded semiannual

Age If you add Natalie's age and Fred's age, the result is 40. If you add Fred's age to 4 times
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

Fred is 28 yrs old. Nathalie is 12yrs old

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Nathalie's age be x

Let Fred's age be a

x+a=40 yrs•••••1

4x+a=76yrs•••••2

a=40-x

Substitute a for 40-x in equation (2)

4x+40-x=76

3x=76-40

3x=36

x=12

a=40-12

a=28

A parabola intersects the xxx-axis at x=3x=3x, equals, 3 and x=9x=9x, equals, 9.
vekshin1

Answer:

x^2-12x+27 =0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a Parabola that intersects the x-axis at x=3 and x=9.

I presume you want to determine the equation of the parabola.

You can use this form:

Given roots of a parabola, the equation of the parabola is derived using the formula:

x^2-($Sum of Roots)x+Product of Roots =0\\Since roots are 3 and 9, the equation becomes:\\x^2-(3+9)x+(3X9) =0\\x^2-12x+27 =0

The equation of the parabola is:

x^2-12x+27 =0
