Answer with explanation:

The Vertices of Rhombus K L MN are ,  K(a, 0), M(a, b), and N(0, c).

Let Coordinates of Vertices of Point L ,which is one of the vertices among four vertices = (x,y)

As, Diagonals of rhombus bisect each other.

We will use the mid point formula ,to find the vertex of point L.

Mid Point Formula, of line joining two points , (p,q) and (r,s) is

       =(\frac{p+r}{2},\frac{q+s}{2})

Mid Point of ,K(a,0) and M (a,b) is

      =(\frac{a+a}{2},\frac{0+b}{2})\\\\=(\frac{2a}{2},\frac{b}{2})\\\\=(a,\frac{b}{2})

Mid Point of L (x,y) and N (0,c) is

    =(\frac{x+0}{2},\frac{y+c}{2})\\\\=(\frac{x}{2},\frac{y+c}{2})

As, Diagonal bisect each other,so

  a=\frac{x}{2}\\\\x=2 a\\\\ \frac{y+c}{2})=\frac{b}{2}\\\\y=b-c

Coordinates of vertices of L are =(2 a, b-c)

Last month, when Joe took his puppy to the veterinarian, the puppy weighed 5.4 pounds. This month, the puppy weighed 7.56 pounds
tino4ka555 [31]

<u>Answer:</u>

40%

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

We are given that last month, Joe's puppy weight 5.4 pounds while this month, the puppy weighed 7.56 pounds.

We are to find the percentage increase of the weight of the puppy

We know that the formula of percentage increase if given by:

<em>Percentage increase = (new value - initial value)/initial value × 100</em>

So substituting the given values to get:

Percentage increase in puppy's weight = \frac{7.56-5.4}{5.4} \times 100 = 40%

Roll one fair, six-sided die, numbered 1 through 6. Let A be the event you will roll an even number. Let B be the event you will
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

a) not independent

b) not mutually exclusive

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

- A 6 sided die is rolled

- Event A is rolling an even number

- Event B is rolling a prime number

Find

- (a) Are A and B independent events?

- (b) Are A and B mutually exclusive events?

Solution:

- We will find the probability of each event:

                       set(Even number: A) = {2, 4, 6} = 3 outcomes

                       set(Prime number: B) = {2 , 3, 5} = 3 outcomes

- The probabilities are:

                        P(A) = 3/6 = 0.5

                        P(B) = 3/6 = 0.5

- For Event A and B to be independent then the following condition must match:

                        P ( A & B ) = P(A)*P(B)

                        set (A&B) = {2} = 1 outcome

                        P(A&B) = 1/6

                        1 / 6 = 0.5*0.5

                        1/6 = 0.25         ...... NOT INDEPENDENT

- For Event A and B to be mutually exclusive then the following condition must match:

                        P(A&B) = 0

                        P(A&B) = 1/6

Hence, we can say the events are NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE
