The graph of f(x)=x2 is shown. Use the parabola tool to graph the function g(x)=(12x)2. To graph a parabola, first plot the vert
Talja [164]

Answer:

Pease check my assumptions.

Step-by-step explanation:

I will assume that f(x)=x2 is actually f(x) = x^2.

Same for g(x)=(12x)^2  [Is it g(x)=12x^2  ???]

See the attached image.

Note that (12x)^2 results in a narrower, steeper graph.   That's because (12x)^2 can be rewritten as 144x^2, so every value is multiplied by 144, compared to just x^2.

Find the value(s) of the variable(s). Write your answer(s) in simplest radical form.
Romashka [77]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

12). By applying Pythagoras theorem in the given right triangle,

      Hypotenuse² = (Leg 1)² + (Leg 2)²

      x² = 7² + 7²

      x² = 2(7)²

      x = \sqrt{2(7)^{2} }

      x = 7\sqrt{2}

13). By sine rule,

      sin(60)° = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

      \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}=\frac{9\sqrt{3} }{y}

      y = \frac{18\sqrt{3} }{\sqrt{3} }

      y = 18

      By cosine rule,

      cos(60)° = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

      \frac{1}{2}=\frac{x}{y}

      x = \frac{y}{2}

      x = \frac{18}{2}=9

14). By applying Pythagoras theorem in the given right triangle,

      12² = x² + x²

      144 = 2x²

      72 = x²

      x = √72

      x = 6√2

please and thank you I just need someone to correct my work from my answer to the answer my teacher wrote I'M CONFUSED AND NEED
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

I'll work it out myself,  then we should be able to see the mistake:-

6 ∛ (64x^5y^9)

= 6 * 4 * x^(5/3) * y^3

= 24 x^(3/3) * x^(2/3) y^3

= 24 x y^3 ∛(x^2)

You've got confused withe the cube root  (∛) on the first line. You've interpreted it   as ' 3  times the square root' so you were on the wrong road from the beginning.

Note that y^9 has cube root y^(9/ 3) = y^3  and x^5 has cube root of x^(5/3).   The square root of x^9 is x^(9/2).
