The interquartile range (IQR) is 14.

Your friend might have said the IQR is 6 because the second quartile goes from 10 to 16 giving it a range of 6. However, this is incorrect because, as the name suggests, the IQR is the middle 50% of data. This means the IQR includes the range of Q2 as well as Q3.

The dimension of the above figure is 9ft×3ft×6ft The home work wants you to recognize where the length, width , and height of the prism. the length runs along the base, the width is the smallest side on this figure, and the height always runs up and down. All the answers below should be circled:
3ft×6ft×3ft
9ft×6ft×1ft

9ft×3ft×3ft does not apply because 6 factored by a third is 2 not 3.

A plane flies round-trip to Philadelphia. It flies to Philadelphia at 220 miles per hour and back home with a tailwind at 280 mi
LuckyWell [14K]
To solve the problem we will use this equation where,

d will be distance.
x is the speed of the plane without tailwind.
y is the speed of the wind affecting the plane.
Going to Philadelphia the speed of the plane affected by wind will be x-y=220 miles/hr
Coming back with a tailwind, the speed of the plane will be x+y= 280 miles/hr.
since time = distance / speed, t1 =d/220 and t2 = d/280
and since the total time traveled is 6.5hrs
d/220 + d/ 280 = 6.5hrs
d = 800.8 miles x 2 (back and forth trip) the answer is 1601.6 miles
