Looking at the graph, trace your finger up from 10 on the x-axis. You will end up somewhere around 17.

Therefore, the approximate height of the tree after 10 years will be 17 feet.

It's 17.

Here's Why:

Since it's asking, "What is the approximate height of the tree after 10 years?" 10 is the main clue/hint because at the bottom of the graph,it says, "time (yr)." So, you start from the bottom but line up with the #10, then work your way up and you have to stop at the line & then you look to the side of the graph (left side), where it says, "height" & it'll be 17. As a point, it is (10, 17) where 10 is time(x) & 17 is height(y).

Hope this helps you!!! :)

Solve for j. 8-6j=9j-10
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

J = 6/5

Step-by-step explanation:

8−6j=9j−10

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

8−6j=9j−10

8+−6j=9j+−10

−6j+8=9j−10

Step 2: Subtract 9j from both sides.

−6j+8−9j=9j−10−9j

−15j+8=−10

Step 3: Subtract 8 from both sides.

−15j+8−8=−10−8

−15j=−18

Step 4: Divide both sides by -15.

−\frac{-15j}{-15} = \frac{-18}{-15}

j= \frac{6}{5}

Explain how to solve the following problem in paragraph form.

7 5/6 - (-4 1/7)
ValentinkaMS [17]
So when you subtract by a negative number, it is the same thing as adding the two numbers.
First find a the LCD, or the least common denominator.
LCM(7,6) = 7•6 = 42

Then make the fractions have 42 as a denominator.
7 5/6 • 7/7 = 7 35/42
4 1/7 • 6/6 = 4 6/42

Finally, add the two mixed numbers
7 35/42
+4 6/42
11 41/42

So 11 41/42 is your answer
