When preparing 1L of a 14% NaCl solution using a 20% NaCl solution and a 0.9% NaCl solution, how many mL of the 20% solution are
Bumek [7]

To prepare 1 ltr of 14% NaCl solution, 700 ml of 20 % Nacl solution will be mixed with 300 ml of water.

What is percentage composition ?

The percent composition of a compound is the mass percent of each element in the compound.

To prepare ;

14 % NaCl Solution, Which means 140 gm of NaCl in 1000 ml solution.

Given Slolution ;

20% NaCl solution, Which means 200 gm of NaCl in 1000 ml Solution.

We need 140gm of NaCl from above solution

If 1000 ml consist of 200 gm NaCl

then, X ml will contain 140 gm of Nacl ;

140 / x = 200 / 1000

Therefore,

x = 1000 x 140 / 200

 = 700 ml of Nacl solution of 20%.

Hence, 700 ml of 20% solution are needed to mix 300 ml of water to make 1L of a 14% NaCl solution.

What are fats? Write two paragraphs
jeyben [28]

Fats - substances that help the body use some vitamins and keep the skin healthy; they are also the main way the body stores energy. In food, there are many types of fats -- saturated, unsaturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, and trans fats. To maintain your blood cholesterol and triglyceride (lipid) levels as near the normal ranges as possible, the American Diabetes Association recommends limiting the amount of saturated fatsand cholesterol in our diets. Saturated fats contribute to blood levels of LDL (''bad'') cholesterol. The amount of saturated fats should be limited to less than 10% of total caloric intake, and the amount of dietary cholesterol should be limited to 300 mg/day.
