What are the obvious gaps in accessibility for any of the resources you researched? Choose an area where you would like to advoc

ate for improved access to the resource. Identify the area of interest, and then choose a group you would like to advocate for. The group could be family members, classmates, a community service organization, or a certain patient population. Work with your group to decide the best way to conduct your advocacy. You may choose to write a letter to a particular party, circulate a petition, hold a discussion, hold a debate, give a speech at an event, or provide public input at a city council meeting. Think of the best way to get your message to the people who will make a difference in access to the resource. Having made these decisions, create the materials to carry out the advocacy. Identify what materials are needed, and then develop them. Your materials should justify the need for better access and should explain how better access will improve disease prevention or treatment in your community.

Explain how privatizing endangered species (private ownership) will save them from extinction. Give an example. (approximately 5
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer: The privatization of endangered species will reduce their chances of extinction.

Explanation:

The endangered species are those species which are low in numbers, their population will reduce or extinct in the near future. The privatization of these animals will protect them from dangers of trafficking, predation, habitat loss, and death due to natural disaster. Animals like elephant, monkey, tiger, lion are privatized to protect their extinction.

The trade of hides, teeth, ivory, flesh, horn, and other parts of the endangered animals will accelerate the rate of extinction. Prohibition of trade will allow the agents of trafficking to get chances of killing and stealing animal parts to a large number.

The tragedy of commons suggests that people neglect the well being of the society for personal gain. Those people who exploit the resources from endangered species causing harm to the nature as they are responsible for reducing biodiversity.

Natalija [7]

Hello. You forgot to show the pedigree image of that family. It is important that you always provide all the necessary information so that it is possible to answer your question the way you deserve.

The required image is attached below:

Answer:

  1. Generation 1: cc - CC
  2. Generation 2: Cc-Cc-Cc - CC
  3. Generation 3: Cc - Cc - cc
  4. Generation 4: cc - CC - cc - CC

Explanation:

As seen in the question above, dark colored circles or squares develop the cystic fibrosis disorder that is represented by the recessive "c" allele. While light colored circles and quads did not develop the disorder, but can carry the gene, if they present the heterozygous allele pair "Cc".

As we know, homozygous alleles are only phenotypically expressed if they are homozygous, that is, if they present the "cc" pair.

Thus, we can say that in the family shown in the figure below, generation 1 presents a person with the "cc" alleles and another with the "CC" alleles. The interbreeding between these two people, will generate an offspring totally "Cc", that although it has the gene responsible for the disorder, they will not present the disease because they are heterozygous.

According to the result of Generation 3, we can assume that a member of generation 2 (who possessed the Cc alleles) had a cross with an individual with the "CC 'alleles thus generating, generation 3, with two individuals of" Cc alleles. "or an individual from the" CC "allele and one from the" Cc "allele.

The generation 3 individual with the "Cc" allele also crossed with a "Cc" individual. As each member of the offspring receives an allele from each parent this cross would be:

Cc * Cc = CC - Cc- Cc - cc

Based on this, we can say that each member of the offspring would have a 25% chance of presenting the disease. As we can see in the figure below, two members of this offspring have inherited the "cc" alleles and have the disease.

Svetllana [295]

Answer:

A. Cadherins in desmosomes would no longer be anchored to intermediate filaments

Explanation:

Cadherins are Ca dependent molecules (proteins) that are involved in cell-cell adhesion (they are type of cell adhesion molecule-CAM). Cadherins are composed of: a small cytoplasmic component, a transmembrane component, and the extra-cellular part.

There are types of cadherins called desmosomal cadherins which are involved in the formation of desmosomes (structure for cell-cell adhesion) and they bind to linker proteins and keratin intermediate filaments.
