Researchers at a university want to know if higher levels of nitrogen in fertilizer will increase the production of tomatoes per

plant. Twenty plants are given normal levels of nitrogen and twenty other plants are given ten percent higher levels throughout the growing season. The plants receive the same levels of sunlight, water and are planted in the same soil on one farm. At the end of the experiment the average number of tomatoes produced is the same for each group. The scientists repeat the experiment on two additional farms further south that season. The researchers conclude that increasing nitrogen levels by 10% in tomatoes is not beneficial.

Answer:

Please see below

Explanation:

The experiment appears correctly set up as all the factors have been controlled except the experimental treatment, which is a variation in nitrogen level. Perhaps adding a third treatment with 20% nitrogen would have reinforced the results. The use of twenty plants provides a good number of repetitions to reduce the error level and further the experiment was repeated on two additonal farms in sunnier places with the same results. (Here the amount of sunlight was not totally controlled). However the conclusion is not correct. The objective of the experiment was not to test whether the extra nitrogen was beneficial or not, but to test if the extra nitrogen would increase the production of tomatoes per plant. Therefore the conclusion should have been that increasing nitrogen levels by 10% in tomatoes does not increase the production of tomatoes per plant. This conclusion, as a matter of fact, is right, as nitrogen does not indeed increase the production of fruit in any crop.

Ergogenic aids can be useful in some circumstances, some are possibly useful but still under study, and still others are downrig
Jet001 [13]

Answer:

Using beta-hydroxy-beta methylbutyric acid (HMB) can improve performance for those who perform explosive repetitions of activity, such as running or lifting weights. Consuming small amounts of caffeine can increase mint alertness. C. The consumption of branched-chain amino acids and creatine can improve muscle recovery after intense physical activity. D. An ergogenic aid that increases muscle mass but can also cause uncontrolled growth of the heart or other organs and is prohibited by the International Olympic Committee: anabolic steroids.

Explanation:

In the answer I leave you the text with the blanks completed ... It is also important that you know that amino acids are important for the formation of muscle mass and its recovery, in addition to creatinine.

On the other hand, these supplements are administered in people who have high performance in sports, and accompanied by a good diet and specific diet, otherwise they will not work.

Anabolics are chemical structures that promote energy reserves and anabolism for muscle tissue hypertrophy, but they do not have a selective effect on the skeletal muscle, but rather affect other parts of the body, that is why they are risky, cause heart failure, cardiovascular, liver, kidney, and even possible alterations of the gallbladder.

Beyond durability, cockroaches are built to play defense. They have an exoskeleton to protect their soft bodies, and will hide whenever they're in the process of molting their exoskeleton. The exoskeleton is not only rigid but flexible to allow the roach to crawl into tiny crevices. Their legs are built for running

Which function of the integumentary system is illustrated in the release of sweat? A. Absorption B. Protection C. Sensory Recept
ladessa [460]

Answer:

F. Both regulation and secretion

Explanation:

Through sweat glands and superficial blood vessels, the skin is able to cool the body and regulate its internal temperature.

The eccrine sweat gland, which is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system, regulates body temperature. When internal temperature rises, the eccrine glands secrete water to the skin surface, where heat is removed by evaporation.

One end of the rope is vibrated to produce a wave with a wavelength of 0.25 m. The
evablogger [386]

Answer:

3) 0.75m/s

Explanation:

The wavelength of a wave is calculated using the formula;

λ = v/f

Where!

λ = wavelength of wave (m)

v = velocity or speed (m/s)

f = frequency of wave (Hz)

According to this question, one end of a rope is vibrated to produce a wave with a wavelength (λ) of 0.25 m and frequency (f) of 3.0 Hz.

Using λ = v/f

v = λ × f

v = 0.25 × 3

v = 0.75m/s.
