Suppose you have two identical capacitors. You connect the first capacitor to a battery that has a voltage of 21.2 volts, and yo

Answer:

r=2.743

Explanation:

The energy stored on a capacitor is of type potencial, therfore depends on the capacity to "store" energy. Inthe case of the capacitor, it stores charge (Q), and the equations you use to calculate it are:

E_p=\frac{Q^2}{2C}=\frac{QV}{2}=\frac{CV^2}{2}

In this case we know V and C, therefore we use the last expression:

E_{p1}=\frac{CV_1^2}{2}

E_{p2}=\frac{CV_2^2}{2}

\frac{E_{p1}}{E_{p2}}=r=\frac{\frac{CV_1^2}{2}}{\frac{CV_2^2}{2}}  \\r=(\frac{V_1}{V_2})^2\\r=(\frac{21.2}{12.8})^2

r=2.743

In a pool game, the cue ball, which has an initial speed of 3.0 m/s, make an elastic collision with the eight ball, which is ini
zhenek [66]

Explanation:

Given

initial speed(u)=3 m/s

mass of each ball is m

Let the cue ball is moving in x direction initially

In elastic collision Energy and momentum is conserved

Let u be the initial velocity and v_1 , v_2 be the final velocity of 8 ball and cue ball respectively

\frac{mu^2}{2}+0=\frac{mv^2_1}{2}+\frac{mv^2_2}{2}

The angle after which cue ball is deflected is given by

\theta _1=90-40=50^{\circ}

Conserving momentum in x direction

mu=mv_1cos40+mv_2cos50

3=v_1cos40+v_2cos50

Along Y axis

0+0=v_1sin40-v_2sin50

v_1sin40=v_2sin50

substitute the value of v_1

we get v_2=1.912 m/s

v_1=2.27 m/s

.<br>1. How does the arrangement of a pulley system affect its ideal mechanical advantage
lukranit [14]

Answer: In a pulley, the ideal mechanical advantage is equal to the number of rope segments pulling up on the object. The more rope segments that are supporting to do the lifting work, the less pressure that is needed for the job.

A plane travels 1743 KM in 2 hours 30 minutes. How fast was the plane traveling?
Advocard [28]

Answer:

v=697.2km/h

Explanation:

Hello.

In this case, since the velocity is computed via the division of the distance traveled by the elapsed time:

V=\frac{d}{t}

The distance is clearly 1743 km and the time is:

t=2h+30min*\frac{1h}{60min} =2.5h

Thus, the velocity turns out:

v=\frac{1743km}{2.5h}\\ \\v=697.2km/h

Which is a typical velocity for a plane to allow it be stable when flying.

Best regards.
