Answer:

r=2.743

Explanation:

The energy stored on a capacitor is of type potencial, therfore depends on the capacity to "store" energy. Inthe case of the capacitor, it stores charge (Q), and the equations you use to calculate it are:

E_p=\frac{Q^2}{2C}=\frac{QV}{2}=\frac{CV^2}{2}

In this case we know V and C, therefore we use the last expression:

E_{p1}=\frac{CV_1^2}{2}

E_{p2}=\frac{CV_2^2}{2}

\frac{E_{p1}}{E_{p2}}=r=\frac{\frac{CV_1^2}{2}}{\frac{CV_2^2}{2}}  \\r=(\frac{V_1}{V_2})^2\\r=(\frac{21.2}{12.8})^2

r=2.743

Which labels best complete the diagram?
nlexa [21]

Answer: D

Explanation: Look at the figure, we can conclude that the correct answer is

X: Low potential energy

Y: High potential energy

Z: Flow of electrons

Because electrons flow where there is difference in potential energy. And electrons move from a region of high potential energy to a region of low potential energy.

Since the arrow is pointing to X, that means

Z is the flow of electrons, X is of low potential energy and Y is of high potential energy.

A 5.00 kg dog runs towards a skateboard with a speed of 2.50 m/s. The skateboard is initially at rest. The dog jumps onto the sk
ladessa [460]

Answer:

The mass of the skateboard is 1.25 kg.

Explanation:

We have,

Mass of dog, m = 5 kg

Initial speed of dog, u = 2.5 m/s

Initial speed of skateboard, u' = 0 (at rest)

The dog jumps onto the skateboard and both the dog and skateboard move with a speed of 2.00 m/s. It is the common speed of the dog +skateboard, V = 2 m/s. We need to find the mass of the skateboard. Using conservation of momentum as :

mu+m'u'=(m+m')V

m' is mass of skateboard

5\times 2.5=(5+m')2\\\\m'=1.25\ kg

So, the mass of the skateboard is 1.25 kg.
