If I can meet a historical figure, I would like to meet Princess Diana Spencer. I would ask her about how she dealt her and Prince Charles’ relationship.

EXPLANATION

Diana was the Princess of Wales, as she was also one of the members of the British family. Princess Diana was the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. She was Prince Charles’ first wife.

Diana gained popularity because she was an active princess. She was from the Spencer family, which is the most prominent of British nobility. Diana married Prince Charles at St Paul’s Cathedral. They get married in 1981 and it gave her the title Princess of Wales.

Her two son, William, and Harry were the second and also third in line as the British throne’s succession

However, Diana’s marriage with Prince Charles ended up in a divorce. It was because of their incompatibility, and also extramarital affairs. Prince Charles had an affair with Camilla Parker, and Princess Diana had an affair with James Hewitt after it. The couple separated in 1992. The public ended up knowing about their affairs. The details of their marriage keep being publicized, and they ended up having a divorce in 1996.

Princess Diana died in a car crash on 31 August 1997. Her car crashed in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris because her driver was trying to run away from the paparazzi. The car crash resulted in the death of Princess Diana, Dodi Fayed (her companion), and Henri Paul (the driver). The only one who survived the crash was Princess Diana’s bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones.

If I could meet a historical figure, I would choose King George VI.

I would ask him  how he felt when his brother abdicated the throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. I would also ask him how he experienced the fact that he had to take over the English throne, when he had never been prepared to do so. Finally, I would like to know if he was aware of and expected the popularity and love he received from the British people.

Grendel’s words

Grendel’s thoughts

Hrothgar’s words

Hrothgar’s perspective

Answer:

Grendel’s thoughts

Explanation:

According to the excerpt, the author uses Grendel's thoughts to develop his character. This is because Grendel is an important character in the novel because he is one of the monsters that was defeated and killed by Beowulf.

By using Grendel's thoughts, the author lets the readers know that the monster was truly a lonely creature who was surrounded by a lot of meaningless things.
