Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by I) initiating signal transduction pathways in the cells II) causing molecular
Yakvenalex [24]

Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by causing molecular changes in the cells.

The term "chemical messengers of the body" is frequently used to describe neurotransmitters. The nervous system uses these molecules to send information between neurons or from neurons to muscles. A neurotransmitter influences a neuron in one of three ways: excitatory, inhibitory or modulatory.

When a stimulus is potent enough, the chemical messenger neurotransmitter is transferred into the nerve impulse. If it is powerful enough, it will reach the postsynaptic cell and affect the structure of the neuron. And when signal transduction happens, everything mentioned above is completed.

An enhancer may increase the frequency of transcription initiation for its associated gene when… (indicate true or false for eac
Olenka [21]

Answer:

it is located 1000 nucleotides upstream of the gene’s core promoter - true

it is located 1000 nucleotides downstream of the gene’s core promoter- true

it is in the gene’s coding region - False

Explanation:

These enhancers are located 50 or more kilobases from the promoter they controlled upstream from a promoter, downstream from a promoter within an intron, or even downstream from the final exon of a gene which can be thousands of bp away from the gene's core promoter and can also occur thousands of nucleotides away from the gene's core promoter needing the activity of a DNA -bending protein that binds to the enhancer changing the shape of the DNA and allow interactions between the activators and transcription factors.

The bases of RNA are the same as those of DNA except that RNA has _______.
Pavlova-9 [17]
RNA has Uracil instead of Thymine. All the other three bases also occurs in RNA, adenine, guanine and cytosine. Therefore a ATA DNA codon will be transcript to UAU by RNA. Both Thymine and Uracil have the same role in however have minor chemical differences.
