Stomach acid is measured in pH. Where a smaller pH is a stronger acid. The white backed vulture has a stomach pH of 1.2 and the great white shark has a pH of 1.3.Spotted Hyenas are the largest species of hyena, with females being up to 10% larger than males.  They have a body length of 1.3 m (4.25 ft), a tail length of 25 cms (10 inches) and they weigh between 62 and 70 kgs (135 - 155 lbs). Hyenas are carnivores, with some species being mostly carrion eaters, such as the striped hyena, while the iconic spotted hyena is actually  mostly a predator who kills and thus eats its food "fresh". Carnivores as well as scavengers have lower pH in their stomachs, which means  the concentration of hydro chloric acid is higher.

Select the correct answer from each drop-down menu.
aksik [14]

Answer:

Just before the cat drops, it was stationery. Therefore it has energy of position called  potential energy. As it drops, the Gravitational potential energy is converted to Kinetic Energy,The conversion mid- air is P.E to K.E to P.E to K.E to P.E to K.E, until it touches the ground. As it touches the  ground all the energy is converted to P.E energy of position.

As it runs after mouse the P.E is converted back to Kinetic , energy of motion. As it feeds on the mouse , the chemical energy obtained  as protein from mouse meat. This is later converted back to Mechanical energy as (kinetic and Potential  energy)   in the cat.

1. How would you describe the movement of the sun over 30 minutes?
Bad White [126]

Answer:

  • The earth rotates from west to east. The sun does not move around the earth in 30 minutes. The sun is seen in a different part of the sky, but this is due to the rotation of the Earth. The intensity of light and heat changes as the Earth rotates.
  • The speed of the sun changes the angle of the sky in 30 minutes, it is always moving from east to west, so in 30 minutes it will move further west, no matter what time you experiment.

Energy Pyramids represent the food chain energy and population sizes. Which statement is NOT true.
tino4ka555 [31]
D is false. Decomposers are a separate level in of itself, so as far as “decomposers play a role at all trophic levels” go, the answer choice would be invalid, and thus forth is the correct answer. All other answers seem to be valid.
