You can see that he's become a 23 year old person who doesn't know what to do with his life. He graduated and now doesn't know what to do, whether to become a priest or to become an artist. He speaks how fast his life has gone by and how it all seems as if time has stolen his youth and now he has to do something about it.

zaharov [31]
Similes are comparisons that use the word "like" or "as". For example, "I slept like a log last night" is a simile.

A metaphor is a comparison that does not use "like" or "as". For example, "He is a bull when he plays football" is a metaphor.

Who wrote uncle tom's cabin?
Licemer1 [7]
Harriet Beecher Stowe is the person who wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin, in 1852. At the time it was published, it was either loved (usually by black people) or hated (by slave owners) because it was an anti-slavery book which portrayed a black slave as the humane person, and a white man as an evil person.
