Great Famine in Ukraine or Holodomor, occurred between 1932 to 1933 and killed
an estimated 10 million people in Ukraine. The famine brought increased rate of
diseases among the people. More importantly, it changed the demographics. Birth
rate dropped, from 782,000 in1932 to only 471,000 in 1933. At the same time,
deaths increased from 668,000 to 1,850,000. The famine killed significant
numbers of the population of the country.</span>
Carthage used to be a good country until Rome wanted to fight . So , Hannibal who was a general in the Punic war fighting against Rome was taking after his father . In the second Punic war Rome wanted Carthage to move inland but they said no . Do Rome came up with a plan to make them surrender by taking people. That didn't work because Carthage didn't want to give up . Then a nephew In Rome had a plan to destroy Carthage by killing everyone and Carthage was defeated.
<span>Ancient principles still found in American government today can be seen in those of the representative democracy as first used by ancient Rome, as well as ideas of natural rights and separation of powers or checks and balances from John Locke and Montesquieu.</span>
