Answer:

x = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

An inscribed angle represents half of its intercepting arc. So what I did was add 19x + 13 and 90 which comes to 19x + 103

Angle Q would be half of 19x + 103.

Q = \frac{19x +103}{2}

The opposite of Q is 7x + 13.

I will call this angle "y" just to explain.

y + Q = 180

This means we just have to plug everything in.

7x + 13 +\frac{19x + 103}{2} = 180

Solve for x.

7x +\frac{19x + 103}{2} = 167

2(7x +\frac{19x + 103}{2}) = (167)2

14x +19x +103 = 334

33x = 231

x = 7

I haven't done geometry is forever so I really hope this makes sense and it helped you! :)

Simon is riding a bike at 12 km/h away from his friend Keesha. He throws a ball at 5 km/h back to Keesha, who is standing still
Nimfa-mama [501]

Keesha would say the ball is traveling at 7 km/h. The correct option is the second option 7 km/h

<h3>What is relative velocity? </h3>

<em>Relative velocity </em>is defined as the velocity of an object with respect to another observer.

From the question, we are to determine how fast Keesha would say the ball is traveling. That is, the relative velocity

Relative velocity of the ball = 12 km/h - 5 km/h

Relative velocity of the ball = 7 km/h

Hence, Keesha would say the ball is traveling at 7 km/h. The correct option is the second option 7 km/h

-6x^2=3x+2 How to solve the equation by using the quadratic formula?
andrew11 [14]
Y= -6x² +3x +2

Using the quadratic equation x= \frac{-b+ \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}

We assign variables a,b,c as follows with the form ax²+bx +c

a= -6
b= 3
c=2

By plugging in the variable in the quadratic equation we can find x

x= \frac{-b+ \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}
=\frac{-3+- \sqrt{3^2-4(-6)(2)} }{2(-6)}

If you simplify the equation you will have two real solutions for x

\frac{-3+- \sqrt{9+48} }{-12}
\frac{-3+- \sqrt{57} }{-12}

As a square root can be positive or negative, two solutions are possible
Hence,
x = \frac{-3+\sqrt{57} }{-12}, \frac{-3- \sqrt{57} }{-12}

Which can be further simplified to

x = \frac{\sqrt{57} }{4}, \frac{- \sqrt{57} }{4}

TAA DAAA! :)

Inequality:<br><br> -3 -6 (4x+6) &gt; - 111<br><br> solve
Margarita [4]

Answer:

x < 3

Step-by-step explanation:

-3 - 6(4x+6) > - 111

-3 - 24x - 36 > -111

-24x - 39 > -111

-24x > -72

dividing by a negative flips the sign

x < 3

Zina [86]
Let's apply the formula giving the slope:

m=(y2-y1) /(x2-x1) , let's plug:

m= (8-0) / (3-(-1)) ====> m= 2
