Answer:

16

Step-by-step explanation:

x = number of footballs he can order

22*x + 13 (shipping fee) = 277

22x = 264       Subtract 13 from both sides

x = 16               Divide both sides by 22

Our solution is 16 footballs

Alex is installing wooden flooring in his room. The room is rectangular in shape with length of 12 feet and width of 10 feet.
Pepsi [2]
12 feet multiplied by 10 feet = 120 feet (This is the entire room size)
Then you take your $600 and divide it by your entire room size (120)
This will give you the amount per square foot.
Your answer will be $5.00 per square foot

simon says that to find the area of a trapezoid, you can multiply the height by the top base and the height by the bottom base.
denis-greek [22]
He is correct
basically you have
h times base1+h times bsae 2 all divided by 2
that equals
(hb1+hb2)/2
if we undistribute h using distributive property which is ab+ac=a(b+c)
(h)(b1+b2)/2

if you split the trapezoid in half with a horizontal line that passes through the halfway point of the height and take those two shapes and put them side by side and cut the triangles off the ends and add them, you will see why this is true

the reason is becuase you can get to the area formula from that is height times (b1+b2)/2

____________ is the amount of a $3000.00 annuity due at 12 percent compounded semiannually for 3 years.
snow_tiger [21]
Base on my calculations, the answer is not in the choices given. First, we have to acknowledge that the interest rate given is not the effective interest rate instead it is called the nominal interest rate therefore we have to convert it first to an effective interest rate. We use the following formula:
Effective Interest rate = [[1 + (r/m)]^m] - 1 where r is the nominal interest rate and m is the number of compounding times
For this case, m is equal to 2 since it is compounded semianually.
Effective Interest rate = [[1 + (.12/2)]^2] - 1 = .1236
We then use the calculated effective interest rate to the formula for the Compound Interest Rate Formula.
Future Value = Present Value (1 + Effective interest rate)^(no. of years)Future Value = 3000 (1 + .1236)^( 3) = 4255.56 dollars
