Can someone help me find the area of each rectangle? I know the formula but I’m confused on which numbers are the Height and Width for each.. please help meh lol x

Because the top rectangle is 4m, than you know half of it is 2m. You can take that to the bottom rectangle. Because the bottom rectangle would be 4m across but the whole thing is 6m, you know that the width (the bottom part) of the rectangle that has a length of 8m is 2m. So, rectangle 1 is 8m in length and 2m in width, and the equation for how to find area is l•w= area, so, 8m•2m=16 squared. Also, rectangle 2 and 3 are the same, the width of them both is 4m and the length of them both is 2m. All you have to do for each of them is l•w so, 2m•4m= 8m squared.

Rectangle 1: 8m•2m=16m squared = area

Rectangles 2&3: 2m•4m= 8m squared = area
