Answer:

The range of people who voted for other person = 7266 to 7872

Step-by-step explanation:

A phone survey has a margin error of +/– 4%. The range of number of people who will vote for the other candidate if 87 of 114 people said they would vote for the other person.

We get the percentage from this ,

Percentage = \frac{87}{114} \times 100 = 76.3 %

Border percentages = 72.3 and 80.3% (Since error = 4%)

We have already taken vote of 114 people so remaining = 9804

Lower end = 0.723 \times 9804 =  7266

Upper end = 0.803\times 9804 = 7872

Hence the range = 7266 to 7872

The nth term is 3n+2
poizon [28]

Answer:

5, 8, 11 and 32

Step-by-step explanation:

For the first 3 terms, substitute n = 1, 2, 3 into the n th term formula

a₁ = 3(1) + 2 = 3 + 2 = 5

a₂ = 3(2) + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8

a₃ = 3(3) + 2 = 9 + 2 = 11

Similarly for tenth term, let n = 10

a₁₀ = 3(10) + 2 = 30 + 2 = 32

anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

x=0, y=-12

Step-by-step explanation:

you can use substitution to solve for x

-3(x-12)=2x+36

-3x+36=2x+36

subtract 36 from both sides and add 3x to both sides

0=5x

x=0

now plug in 0 as x for either equation

y=0-12

y=-12

to check your work plug in x and y into the other equation

-3(-12)=2(0)+36

36=36

Mark flew from Boston to Baltmore, then Baltimore to Orlando. The number of people on his first flight was five more than four t
Brut [27]
Let x= flight 1 and y=flight 2
x=4y+5(5 more than 4 times the second flight)
y=y
x+y=365, replace x with 4y+5
4y+5+y=365, combine like terms
5y+5=365
5y+5-5=365-5
5y=360
5y/5=360/5
y=72

x=293
y=72
293+72=365

flight 2 had 72 people
