We have to know the number of alkyne molecule with molecular formula C₈H₁₄ which can afford only one carboxylic acid when ozonolyzed.

The number of alkyne molecule with molecular formula C₈H₁₄ which can afford only one carboxylic acid when ozonolyzed is one.

Those alkyne only can give only one carboxylic acid on ozonolysis which contains  C≡C bond in the middle position.

There are possibility of only one alkyne with equal number of carbon atom with respect to  C≡C bond with molecular formula C₈H₁₄. Any other alkyne with same molecular formula will give at least two carboxylic acid.

Which of the following reactions could be used to extract the lead from the lead nitrate?
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

Option b. Decomposition

Followed by a reduction process using charcoal

Explanation:

Lead can be obtained from lead nitrate by thermal decomposition of lead nitrate as shown below:

2Pb(NO3)2 —> 2PbO + 4NO2 + O2

The PbO obtained is reduced by charcoal(C) to obtain the metallic Pb as shown below:

2PbO + C —> Pb + CO2

Students find the pH of Substance A to be 2.1 and Substance B to be 4.4. They are told Substance C is less acidic than Substance
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

the range should be 2.2 to 4.3

Explanation:

I think so because the numbers at the left side of the scale from 1 are more acidic so as it increases it's still acidic but lesser so 1 is more acidic than 2 so I used 2.2 as the beginning of the range because it's less acidic than A even though its a greater number and 4.3 is lesser than 4.4 but its still greater on the scale. frankly speaking I don't feel so correct because it's in decimal so try and compare facts thank you
