A molecule is formed when two or more atoms of an element chemically join together. If the types of atoms are different from each other, a compound is formed. Not all molecules are compounds, because some molecules, such as hydrogen gas or ozone, consist only of one element or type of atom.

During intense exercise, can a muscle cell use fat as a concentrated source of chemical energy? explain.
PilotLPTM [1.2K]
Yes, during intense exercise, muscles cell may use fat as a concentrated source of chemical energy. When oxygen is present, the fatty acid chains containing most of the energy of a fat are oxidized and fed into the citric acid cycle and the electron transport chain. Nonetheless, during intense exercise, oxygen is scarce in muscle cells, so ATP must be generated by glycolysis alone.

Using forceps and scissors cut a small piece of liver and add it to the test tube. Push it into the hydrogen peroxide with a sti
beks73 [17]

Answer:

oxygen

Explanation:

Catalase is an enzyme found in living tissuea of plants and animals. Its role in living tissues is to break down hydrogen peroxide produced during cellular metabolism. Hydrogen peroxide is ahighly toxic substance which should not be allowed to accumulate in the tissues. If it were to accumulate in the tissues, it would interfere with cellular metabolism. Enzyme catalase breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen which are non-toxic substances. Liver contains enzyme catalase.
