According to the Census Bureau, 3.36 people reside in the typical American household. A sample of 25 households in Arizona retir

ement communities showed the mean number of residents per household was 2.71 residents. The standard deviation of this sample was 1.10 residents. At the .10 significance level, is it reasonable to conclude the mean number of residents in the retirement community household is less than 3.36 persons? Answer:

We conclude that  the mean number of residents in the retirement community household is less than 3.36 persons.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Population mean, μ = 3.36

Sample mean, \bar{x} = 2.71

Sample size, n =  25

Alpha, α = 0.10

Sample standard deviation, s = 1.10

First, we design the null and the alternate hypothesis

H_{0}: \mu = 3.36\text{ residents per household}\\H_A: \mu < 3.36\text{ residents per household}

We use One-tailed(left) t test to perform this hypothesis.

Formula:

t_{stat} = \displaystyle\frac{\bar{x} - \mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}} } Putting all the values, we have

t_{stat} = \displaystyle\frac{2.71 - 3.36}{\frac{1.10}{\sqrt{25}} } = -2.95

Now, t_{critical} \text{ at 0.10 level of significance, 24 degree of freedom } =-1.31

Since,

t_{stat} < t_{critical}

We reject the null hypothesis and fail to accept it.

Thus, we conclude that  the mean number of residents in the retirement community household is less than 3.36 persons.

Find the exact value of sin (o)
Yuliya22 [10]
The best way to think about this value is to picture the graph of the "normal" sin wave.  One period starts at (0, 0), goes up to a y value of 1 at an x value of \frac{ \pi }{2},  goes back down to a y value of 0 at x = \pi, goes down to a y value of -1 at x = \frac{3 \pi }{2} and ends up completing one period at a y value of 0 and an x value of 2 \pi.  We can see from that what the sin ratios are at each one of those x values.  When x = 0, y = 0, so the sin of 0 is 0.  Check your calculator to see that this is true, but understanding the graph tells you WHY it is true.

How do i convert 4.5 meters into cm
REY [17]

Answer: 4.5 meters is 45 centimeters.

Step-by-step explanation: The centimeter is just a single digit behind a meter, or in more mathematical terms, a tenth of a meter.

In this case, you can simply multiply 4.5 by 10 or divide 4.5 by one hundreth (or 1/100). In doing so, you'd successfully acheive the value of 45. Study your conversions
