Viruses are even smaller than bacteria and require living hosts — such as people, plants or animals — to multiply. Otherwise, they can't survive. When a virus enters your body, it invades some of your cells and takes over the cell machinery, redirecting it to produce the virus.

Hope this helps (:

viruses are the smallest and simplest life form known. They are 10 to 100 times smaller than bacteria.; The biggest difference is that viruses most have a living host- like a plant or animal- to multiply, while most bacteria can grow on non-living surfaces.

How to calculate the Exponential growth/decay formula?

x ( t ) = x 0 × (1 + r ) t

 • x(t) is the value at time t.

 • x 0 is the initial value at time t = 0.

 • r is the growth rate when r/ 0 or decay rate when r < 0, in percentage.

 • t is the time in discrete intervals and selected time units.

Whit this information, we can conclude that the replication time for a virus starting at 1,500 units to lyse the cell is 5 hours.
