Answer:

WITH DECIMAL: the bigger the demominateor (the bottom number) is, the smaller the value of the number. for ex. 1/4 is smaller then 1/2, 1/8 is bigger then 1/16, etc.

1/4 would go in between 0 and -1 because 1/4 isn't a whole number

-3 1/4 would go in between -3 and -4 becauce 3 AND 1/2 is more then just a 3

-2 3/4 would go in between -2 and -3 becasue 2 + other 3/4 is going to be bigger than 2 but smaller than a 3

9/4 is a tricky one casue 9 is bigger then 4. so you need to see how many times 4 goes into 9 (2 times = 4 +4 = 8) so the simplfied version would be 2 1/4 casue 9 - 8 = 1. so the 9/4 would go in between 2 and 3

lastly, the 3/4 would go in between 0 and 1 becasue 3/4 is deffinately smaller than 1 and definatly bigger than 0

(brainly are greatly appershated, commnet for help!)

Steve sells half of his comic books and then buys 6 more now he has 14 comic books
ddd [48]

Let b be the initial amount of books. Steve sells half of his books, so the number of Steve's books become

b \to \dfrac{b}{2}

Then, he buys 6 more, so the number increases by 6:

\dfrac{b}{2} \to \dfrac{b}{2}+6

This number is now 14, so you have

\dfrac{b}{2}+6 = 14

Subtract 6 from both sides:

\dfrac{b}{2} = 8

Multiply both sides by 2:

b = 16

A sum amount <br>to rupees 34476 in two and a half years at 4% CI. the sum is
Kruka [31]

Given:

Amount = Rs. 34476

Rate of compound interest = 4%

Time = 2\dfrac{1}{2}=2.5 years

To find:

The principal value.

Solution:

Formula for amount is

A=P\left(1+\dfrac{r}{100}\right)^t

Where, P is principal value, r is rate of interest and t is time in years.

Putting the given values, we  get

34476=P\left(1+\dfrac{4}{100}\right)^{2.5}

34476=P\left(1+0.04\right)^{2.5}

34476=P\left(1.04\right)^{2.5}

\dfrac{34476}{\left(1.04\right)^{2.5}}=P

Now,

P=31256.0090

P\approx 31256

Therefore, the value of sum or principal value is Rs.31256.

labwork [276]
Perimeter of a rectangle is

2*width + 2*length

then multiply the perimeter by the cost per foot

2*(150ft) + 2*(200ft)

300ft + 400ft

700ft

700ft * $10/ft

$7000
