Space will include all abiotic components that exist within a certain geographical location (this include things such as water, air, foods, land, caves, etc) .
Even though space indeed provide all organisms need to survive, All of these components in the space wouldn't necessarily guarantee the organisms' survival itself. Those organisms still need to compete with one another in order to acquire those resources.
