Hunting IS NOT a form of artificial selection because it is not a form of breeding. Artificial selection refers to the intentional breeding of plants or animals. An example would be a thoroughbred racehorses, because they were selectively bred.

Answer:

D). Hunting is a form of negative artificial selection, with the genes that humans want (i.e., the biggest buck or largest fish), being removed from the gene pool, allowing the less wanted genes to pass on to the next generation.

Explanation:

Artificial selection consists of selective crosses, performed by humans, in order to select desirable phenotypic characteristics. In other words, we can say that artificial selection consists in putting desirable characteristics on something in the environment, however, hunting removes characteristics of the environment as a result of death caused by hunting. For this reason, hunting is considered a negative artificial selection.

Thorns and small hairs on plant stems and leaves help to
Mkey [24]

The correct answer is - physically dettering herbivory, protection from frost, and minimizing evaporation.

The plants have developed multiple traits that help them in multiple different circumstances, and some of those traits are the thorns and the hairs on their steams and leaves.

The thorns primarily serve for protection of the plant. They are very sharp and give a painful sting (occasionally poisonous one), so they are a physical protection from the herbivores that would try to eat parts of the plants.

The hairs have multiple functions. They are like a coat that helps the plant to not be affected by frost, help to stop the evaporation, and also partially manage to stop most of the insects that feed on plants.

if the stimuli are delivered to the contracting muscles more frequently and ther is no time for relaxqtion
Mamont248 [21]

If the stimulus frequency is so high that the relaxation phase disappears completely, contractions become continuous in a process called complete tetanus.

What is tetanic contraction?

  • When the motor neuron that innervates a skeletal muscle generates action potentials at an extremely rapid rate, a persistent muscular contraction known as a tetanic contraction is induced.
  • A motor unit has experienced its motor neuron's maximum stimulation during this state, which lasts for a while. This happens when several impulses with a high enough frequency excite the motor unit of a muscle.
  • Every trigger results in a twitch. A slow enough stimulus delivery will cause the muscular tension to release between each succeeding twitch. High frequency stimulation will cause the twitches to overlap, which will cause tetanic contraction.

Pototype may be defined as a type of model used in the  cognitive science for the graded categorization. In the prototype some species is considered more central than the other species. In the given question, the diazepam can be used as a prototype.

Thus, the answer is diazepam.
