Answer:

The state governments have most of the power.

Explanation:

A system of government refers to the way power is divided among different levels of the state. Three main systems of government are:

  • unitary systems of government;
  • federal systems of government;
  • confederate systems of government.

A confederation is a union of sovereign states that are usually dealing with a common matter or issue (e.g. internal trade, currency, defense, foreign relations). These states are united under a general government, but generally remain independent to a great degree, so the state governments have most of the power. Looser confederations closely resemble international organizations, while others may be stricter and more akin to federal systems.

What was the significance of the cattle drives from Texas to Missouri in the late 1860s?
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

Rail communication between Texas and the rest of the United States was insufficient during most of the 18th century. Texan ranchers needed to take their livestock to a place where it could be distributed and sold to the rest of the country.

The best place was Saint Louis, Missouri, because the city became the port of entry to the American West, and connected the West with the East with rail lines.

Texan ranchers therefore hired cowboys to transport the cattle from Texas to Missouri in a long, dangerous journey. The cattle could get stolen in the way, or it could become stray. Thus, the job of the cowboy was a very difficult and important one.

During medieval times, traders from Greece, India, and Southeast Asia landed on the ________ coast of Africa.
ki77a [65]
The correct answer should be 1. East. They found a way to go through the Mediterranean sea into the Arabian Gulf and from there into the Indian Ocean, which allowed them to land on the eastern coast of Africa and establish trading stations for resting or reorganizing or fixing ships or things like that.
