Human beings are diploid species.

Diploid organisms are those that possess two set of chromosomes in their cell. Each set of chromosomes is termed as homologous chromosome ( one chromosome is inherited from father and other  one is inherited from mother).

Human beings have 2 set of 23 chromosomes, therefore, they contain 46 chromosomes in their cells.

Inside of plants, there are xylem cells that carry water and minerals from the roots, to the leaves, when the food then gets dispersed to the rest of the plant. This is similar to the human circulatory system but there isn't a heart pumping blood around. Hope this helps :)
