Answer:

Ground state

Explanation:

Ground state is the lowest energy level of particle. In this state toms are stable.

When transition occur from lower energy level to higher energy level require a gain of energy. Electron could not jump into higher energy level without gaining thew energy.

When electron jump into lower energy level from high energy level it loses the energy.

The process is called excitation and de-excitation.

Excitation:

When the energy is provided to the atom the electrons by absorbing the energy jump to the higher energy levels. This process is called excitation. The amount of energy absorbed by the electron is exactly equal to the energy difference of orbits.

De-excitation:

When the excited electron fall back to the lower energy levels the energy is released in the form of radiations. this energy is exactly equal to the energy difference between the orbits. The characteristics bright colors are due to the these emitted radiations. These emitted radiations can be seen if they are fall in the visible region of spectrum.

The term used to describe the lowest energy level of a particle is ground state.

Explanation:

An atom does not react when it has a ground state configuration. All the chemical reactions take place so that the atom gets to the ground state electronic configuration.

Whenever an electron is in an excited state, it will always try to come back to its ground or we can say stable state. The most basic definition of a photon is that its a constituent particle of light. Millions of photons make up a light ray. Emission spectrum is a spectrum of elecctromagnetic radiation.

Daniel [21]

Answer:

ΔS=0.148 KJ/K

Explanation:

Given that

Q = 100 KJ

T₁=200°C

T₁=200+273 = 437 K

T₂=5°C

T₂=5 + 273 = 278 K

Reservoir 1 is rejecting heat that is why it taken as negative while the reservoir 2 is gaining the heat that is why it is taken as positive.

So the total change in entropy given as

ΔS= - Q/T₁ + Q/T₂

ΔS= - 100/473 + 100/278 KJ/K

ΔS=0.148 KJ/K

How do the rates of the forward and reverse reactions change throughout a reaction?
fenix001 [56]
The rates of the forward and reverse reaction depends on the temperature on which the reaction will proceed, either endothermic of exothermic. it also depends of the concentration of the reactants and products. if the reaction is exothermic, so if the reaction temperature is increased then it will favor the forward reaction, then if the reaction is lowered then it will favor the reverse reaction
