How do I solve this equation (5x+9) + (3x-2)

Okie, so you have 2 polynomials separated by a plus sign. If there were a number in front of the polynomial, you would need to factor, as well as if there was a negative sign. But there is just an addition sign so you just add as you would normally. 
5x + 9 + 3x - 2 = 8x +7
