Years of depression occurred during the Weimar government.

Explanation:

After World War I, Germany was crushed and compelled to pay reparation after signing the Treaty of Versailles. During this period, Germany adopted the Weimar Government. In the 1920s, Germany hit depression as they borrowed millions of dollars from the United States and went further into debt. The economic crises and corruption under the Weimar Republic were the reason for the rise of Nazism in Germany. The hyperinflation created economic depression and unemployment in the country before the Nazi came into power.
