Answer:

The height of the tree is 60 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given figure it is noticed that the height of the building is 120 ft.

In triangle ABC the points D and E are midpoints of AB and AC.

According to the midpoint theorem the line connecting the midpoints of two sides is parallel to third sides of the triangle. The height of he line segment is half of the third side.

The tree is connecting the midpoints of AB and AC. By midpoint theorem we can say that the height of tree is half of the height of building.

Height of building is

h=\frac{120}{2}

h=60

Therefore the height of the tree is 60 ft.

When Rashaad goes bowling, his scores are normally distributed with a mean of 175
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

The interval (162, 188)would represent the middle 68% of the scores of all the games that Rashaad bowls.

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the  empirical rule of normal distribution, for any normally distributed curve, the values lie between the extreme values i.e

(μ - σ) and (μ + σ).

Given

μ  = 175

σ = 13

(μ - σ) = 175 -13 = 162

(μ + σ) = 175 + 13 = 188

Hence the required interval is 162, 188

Beginning with an integer $n,$ Jake goes through the following steps: $\bullet$ 1. Take the reciprocal of the starting number. $
evablogger [386]

Answer: n= 32

Jakes started with 32

Step-by-step explanation:

Let n represent the initial integer.

Step 1: take the reciprocal.

Reciprocal of n = 1/n

Step 2: double the number obtained in step 1

= 2×1/n = 2/n

Step 3: take the reciprocal of the number obtained in step 2.

Reciprocal of 2/n = n/2

Since he ended up with 16

n/2 = 16

n = 2×16 = 32

I need to know how to solve this and need an explanation along with answer. Thanks!

First you should write what you know since we don't know how many helmets we will use x

helmets - 5(x)
bats - 3(6x)

then write out the equation

5(x)+3(6x)=4600

then solve so first multiple 5 times x and multiply 3 and 6x

5x+18x=4600

then combine like terms which are 5x and 18x

23x=4600

then divide both sides by 23

x=200

200is the number of helmets and since there are six times the bats as helmets you multiply that by six and get

helmets=200
bats=1200
