$25 x 40% = $10
$25 - $10 = $15

Part A: The sweater is $10 off. While, the sale price is $15.

$15 x 10% = $1.5
$15 - $1.50 = $13.50

Part B: Rita will pay $13.50 for the sweatshirt without taxes, but with taxes, she would pay $12.55.

Hopefully this helps!

Rama09 [41]

Answer:

192

Step-by-step explanation:

There are a total of 15 marbles . When the lavender is left out 14 remain.

Using combinations we find that each of the four color marbles can be chosen in the following way.

2C1*4C1*4C1*6C1= 2*4*4*6=  192

We select  one of the two red marbles , one of the four green marbles, one of the four yellow marbles, one of the 6 orange marbles leaving the lavender out.. We apply combinations and then multiply to get the answer.

There are 30 names in a hat. If two names are picked without replacement, which expression shows the probability that Jack and J
Darya [45]

Answer: Choice C)

(1/30)*(1/29)

Explanation:

Jack has a 1/30 chance of being picked since he is 1 person out of 30 total. After his name is picked, and not put back, there are 30-1 = 29 names left. The chances Jill is picked is 1/29. The two fractions are multiplied to get the overall probability both are picked.

Consider in the figure below.
yawa3891 [41]

Here BD is perpendicular bisector

So

  • UB=BV=74

\\ \tt\hookrightarrow UV=74+74=148

Apply Pythagorean theorem

\\ \tt\hookrightarrow BD^2=UD^2-UB^2=UD^2-VD^2

  • UD=VD=78=TD

\\ \tt\hookrightarrow TC^2=TD^2-CD^2

\\ \tt\hookrightarrow TC^2=78^2-30^2

\\ \tt\hookrightarrow TC^2=6084-900=5184

\\ \tt\hookrightarrow TC=72
