What the answer to number 7

Mathematics
1 answer:
Sveta_85 [38]3 years ago
6 0

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Focus on #7. Let's combine the first two matrices inside round parentheses.

We get

  -2 - 1

   4 + 3

and so the original problems becomes

     -3         4

3( [     ] + [      ] )

      7          2

Combining the two matrices, we get the following:

     1            3

3([      ]) = [      ]

     9            9

Since the first equation says y= x-4, substitution that for the y value in x + y = 6

x + x - 4 = 6

add up the x’s to get 2x - 4 = 6

add 4 to both sides to get 2x = 10

divide both sides by 2 to get x = 5

the x value is 5

then, to figure out the y value, substitute 5 for the x value in y = 5-4

the y value is 1

final answer: x = 5 and y = 1

hope this helped!!

CPM homework 8.1.2 problem 8-19
Kisachek [45]

The area of the figure is 45 sq.mi and the perimeter is 23.5354 mi.

What is Area ?

Area is the space occupied by a two dimensional object,

The area and perimeter of the given shape can be determined by dividing it into basic shapes.

The area and the perimeter of the shape given = Area of the rectangle +Area of upper triangle - Area of two small triangles at the bottom

Area of rectangle = 5 mi * 9 mi = 45 sq.mi

Area of upper Triangle = (1/2) *9*3 = 27/2 sq.mi

Area of small Triangle = (1/2) * 3*6 = 9 sq.mi

Area of other small Triangle = (1/2)*3*3 = 9/2 sq.mi

Area of the figure = 45 +13.5 -9-4.5

Area of the figure =  45 sq.mi

Similarly for Perimeter = Perimeter of the rectangle +Perimeter of upper triangle -Perimeter of two small triangles at the bottom

Perimeter = 28 -(3+6+6.708) -(3+3+4.2426) +(3+9+9.486

Perimeter = 23.5354 mi

Therefore , The area of the figure is 45 sq.mi and the perimeter is 23.5354 mi.

PLEASE HELP!! At a celtic music festival, the tickets for the main stage cost $45, and tickets for the second stage cost $20.
Dennis_Churaev [7]
A.) m + s = 325
     45m + 20s = 12,000

b.) 220 people attended main stage

c.) 105 people attended second stage

How you figure this out:

You can first find the value of (s) by using m + s = 325 and subtracting m from both sides. This leaves you with s = -m + 325 as the value of s. Now substitute that into the equation 45m + 20s = 12,000 and you should have something like this -> 45m + 20 (-m + 325) = 12,000   Now distribute the 20 to both (-m) and (325) which then leaves you with this ->  45m - 20m + 6,500 = 12,000
Next thing you would do is combine like terms which in the case is 45m and -20m. Now combine those term to get -> 25m + 6,500 = 12,000 Now you would subtract 6,500 from both sides and then that would leave you with this -> 25m = 5,500 Lastly divide 25 into both sides to get your solution for m, m = 220. Now that you know the value of (m), substitute it into the equation M + S = 325 and it would look like this -> 220 + s = 325 now you would subtract 220 from both sides to get your solution for s, s = 105

I really hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions! :)

milo is talking to his sister lisa about factors. he said he thinks that any even number always has more factors than any odd nu
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

I agree with Lisa

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain the meaning of the factors of a number

- Factors are the numbers you multiply to get another number

- Ex: factors of 12 are 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 12 because

1 × 12 = 12 , 2 × 6 = 12 , 3 × 4 = 12

- 1 is a factor every number

- The number is a factor of itself

* Lets solve the problem

- Milo said he thinks that any even number always has more

factors than any odd number

- Lisa said she doesn't agree with him

* Lets take some examples for even and odd number to prove who

is right

- We will chose numbers between 1 and 22

# Even numbers: 2 , 4 , 14 , 18

# Odd numbers: 3 , 9 , 15 , 21

∵ The factors of 2 are 1 , 2

∴ 2 has 2 factors

∵ The factors of 4 are 1 , 2 , 4

∴ 4 has 3 factors

∵ The factors of 14 are 1 , 2 , 7 , 14

∴ 14 has 4 factors

∵ The factors of 18 are 1 , 2 , 3 , 6 , 9 , 18

∴ 18 has 6 factors

∵ The factors of 3 are 1 and 3

∴ 3 has 2 factors

∵ The factors of 9 are 1 , 3 , 9

∴ 9 has 3 factors

∵ The factors of 15 are 1 , 3 , 5 , 15

∴ 15 has 4 factors

∵ The factors of 21 are 1 , 3 , 7 , 21

∴ 21 has 4 factors

∵ The number of the factors of the even numbers are 2 , 3 , 4 , 6

∵ The number of the factors of the odd numbers are 2 , 3 , 4

∴ The Factors of even numbers and odd numbers are equal

  like 2 and 3 , 4 and 9 , 14 and 15

OR

  The factors of even number greater than the factors of the odd

  number like 18 the number of the factors of 18 is greater than the

  number of the factors of all odd numbers above

∴ Not always that any even number has more factors than any odd

   number

∴ I agree with Lisa

What is the product in simplest form? −611⋅34
Anton [14]

Correct Question:

What is the product in simplest form?

    -\frac{6}{11} \times \frac{3}{4}

Answer:

-\frac{9}{22} is the product in simplest form

Step-by-step explanation:

We can find the simplest form of solving two fractions. So, to make the fractions multiplication simple, multiply two fractions in the numerator and divide it by the denominators of the two fractions. In the given case,

                    -\frac{6}{11} \times \frac{3}{4}

To simplify, multiply both 6 and 3 in numerator and multiply 11 and 4 in denominator of two fractions. So, we get

                    -\frac{18}{44}

To simplify the above, divide 18 and 44 by their greatest common factor, which is 2. By doing this, we get

                    -\frac{9}{22}
