Answer:

The true statements are:

The y-variable will be eliminated when adding the system of equations

There is only one solution to the system of equations is

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- We use the elimination method to solve the system of the

  linear equation

- The solution is one of three cases

# Exactly one solution ⇒ the 2 lines which represented the equations

  intersect each other at one point

# No solution ⇒ the 2 lines which represented the equations are

  parallel to each other

# Infinite solutions ⇒ the two lines are coincide

- In the system of the linear equations of the problem we have two

 linear equations  -x + 6y = 16 and 8x - 6y = -2

- To solve we must to eliminate one of the two variables

∵ The y's in the two equations have the same coefficients and

   different signs

∴ We add the equations to eliminate y

∴ (-x + 8x) + (6y - 6y) = 16 + -2

∴ 7x = 14 ⇒ divide both sides by 7

∴ x = 2

- Substitute the x in any one of the two equations by 2

∴ -2 + 6y = 16 ⇒ add 2 to both sides

∴ 6y = 18 ⇒ divide both sides by 6

∴ y = 3

∴ The solution of the system of the equations is (2 , 3) ⇒ only one

   solution

- Lets check the statements to find the true statements

# The x-variable will be eliminated when adding the system of

   equations is not true

# The y-variable will be eliminated when adding the system of

   equations is true

# The sum of the system of equations is - x + 6y is not true

# There is only one solution to the system of equations is true

N=3, zeros 4 and 2i, f(2)=-48 find nth degree polinomonal function
enot [183]
The degree is 3, the zeros are; 4, 2i, -2i and a point is (-48, 2)

For zeros; 2i, -2i <-- complex conjugates, always in pairs

\frac{c}{a}=(2i)(-2i) &#10;
= -4(i²=-1)
=5

\frac{b}{a}=-(2i+(-2i))
=0

Therefore the equation is; a(x^{2}+5) <-- b value is zero

Rewrite the equation with all zeros;

a(x-4)(x²+5)=f(x) <-- put in coordinates of the points to find the value of x
a(2-4)(2²+5)=-48
a(2)(9)=-48
a=-48/18
a=-8/3

The final polynomial function is; (-8/3)(x-4)(x²+5)=f(x)

Hope I helped :)

HELP ME BEFORE I DIE!
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

0.6 or \frac{3}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the Pythagorean theorem (a^{2} +b^{2} =c^{2}) we get that the hypotenuse is 5.

so the cos V is adjacent over the hypotenuse. so if adjacent is 3 and hypotenuse is 5, the answer is \frac{3}{5} which equals 0.6 in decimal form.

Given that WA = 5x – 8 and WC = 3x + 2, find WB. A. WB = 5 B. WB = 8 C. WB = 10 D. WB = 17
rodikova [14]
The rest of the question is the attached figure.
============================================
Δ AYW a right triangle at Y ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WA² = AY² + YW²
And AY = YB ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WA² = YB² + YW²   → (1)
Δ BYW a right triangle at Y ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WB² = BY² + YW²  → (2)
From (1) , (2)  ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WA = WB  →→ (3)
Δ CXW a right triangle at Y ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WC² = CX² + XW²
And CX = XB ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WC² = XB² + XW²   → (4)
Δ BXW a right triangle at Y ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WB² = XB² + XW²  → (5)
From (4) , (5)  ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ WC = WB  →→ (6)
From (3) , (6)
WA = WB = WC
given ⇒⇒⇒ WA = 5x – 8 and WC = 3x + 2
∴ <span> 5x – 8 = 3x + 2</span>
Solve for x ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ x = 5
∴ WB = WA = WC = 3*5 + 2 = 17

The correct answer is option D. WB = 17
