Whittier had used symbolism and imagery of war in his poem "To William Lloyd Garrison" when he described the rural nature of the New England including its cultural atmosphere, as well as its religion. In the poem “To William Lloyd Garrison” John Greenleaf Whittier uses a traditional rhyme scheme in which the last words of the first and third lines rhyme.

In addition to the rhythm and rhyme that is present in this poem, the poem is rich with imagery and symbolism to express complex ideas. For example, the sword is repeated in different parts of the poem, and it represents the fight that Garrison and Whittier are involved in. It represents how they got into believing in abolition and that it is called their “fight”.

In this excerpt from Ernest Hemingway's "In Another Country," which sentence shows the low self-esteem of the soldiers and their belief that being a soldier has nothing to do with bravery?

The three with the medals were like hunting-hawks; and I was not a hawk, although I might seem a hawk to those who had never hunted; they, the three, knew better and so we drifted apart. But I stayed good friends with the boy who had been wounded his first day at the front, because he would never know now how he would have turned out; so he could never be accepted either, and I liked him because I thought perhaps he would not have turned out to be a hawk either.

Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

Future tense are actions that will happen in the future. Adding will or shall to the verb will change it in future tense.

Explanation:

Future tenses are those actions that will happen or occur in the future. In other words, the future tense describes actions that will take place in the future.

The structure of simple future tense is "will/shall + verb". And in using that form, there can be made different future tenses, be it the future continuous tense (will/shall+ verb+ -ing") or the Future perfect tense (will/shall+ have+ V3) or even the future perfect continuous tense (will/shall+ have been+ verb+ -ing).
