Answer:

The nervous system is divided into the CENTRAL nervous system which includes the BRAIN and spinal cord, and the PERIPHERAL nervous system which includes cranial nerves, spinal nerves, and ganglia.

Explanation:

The nervous system is divided into two components: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system. Brain and spinal cord together make the central nervous system. The brain and the spinal cord receive sensory information. The brain interprets and processes the information and commands the effector organs.

All the nervous tissue present outside the CNS makes the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The PNS includes nerves and sensory receptors. Twelve pairs of cranial nerves originate from the brain. And thirty-one pairs of spinal nerves come out from the spinal cord. These nerves are part of PNS. In addition, PNS also includes groups of cell bodies of neurons called ganglia.

Which statement provides the best evidence that Earth has a nearly spherical shape?
asambeis [7]

Answer:

2. The altitude of Polaris changes in a definite pattern as an observer's latitude changes.

Explanation:

Since Polaris is located over the Earth’s tilt of axis it appears to follow the observer's latitude. If you were to follow Polaris from the North Pole(0°) to the Equator (90°), it will make a half circle. This will prove that the earth has a spherical shape.
