step One

Find the total number of rocks in the gravel pit

58 + 213 + 522 = 793

Step Two

Set up the probabilities.

P(Sedimentary) = 58 / 793 = 0.0731

P(metamorphic) = 213/ 793 =0.2686

P(igneous) =        522 / 793 = 0.6583

Check

When these are added together the answer should be one.

0.0731 + 0.2686 + 0.6583 = 1 just as it should.

0 = 4x² + 2x – 1

this equation is already ordered by degree, so it's in the correct form. the standard form of a parabola is like so: 0 = Ax² + Bx - C

that's exactly how you plug values into the quadratic formula. the coefficient for your squared value, A, is 4. take the coefficients from your other numbers as well.

a = 4
b = 2
c = -1

Answer:

62.7

Step-by-step explanation:

165 * 0.38 = 62.7

This is assuming you mean an object weights 38% less on mars then earth, if its the other way around(they weight 38% more on mars then earth) it would be,

165 * 1.38 = 227.7
