Awesome question!

1.) You have 80 points and you want to take away 5% of them.

- 5% is 1/2 of 10%. And remember your number places. So 80 has 0 in the ones and an 8 in the tens place. Move the decimal over to the left 1 time and you get 8.00 Now you have 10% of 80. And 5% is one half of 10%, so 8/2 is 4.

4 is 5% of 80. And you take away 4 from 80 and end up with 76.

Hope I explained this for ya!

Solve This Using The Quadratic Formula: 3x^2+9x-6=0
aivan3 [116]
<h3>Therefore either  x = \frac{-3+\sqrt{17}}{2}    or,  x = \frac{-3-\sqrt{17}}{2}</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

3x^2 +9x -6=0                                x = \frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2- 4ac} }{2a}

\Leftrightarrow x = \frac{-9\pm\sqrt{9^2- 4.3(-6)} }{2.3}                     here a = 3 ,b = 9 and c= -6

\Leftrightarrow x = \frac{-9\pm\sqrt{153} }{6}

\Leftrightarrow x = \frac{3(-3\pm\sqrt{17}) }{6}

\Leftrightarrow x = \frac{-3\pm\sqrt{17}}{2}

Therefore either  x = \frac{-3+\sqrt{17}}{2}    or,  x = \frac{-3-\sqrt{17}}{2}

Suppose an experiment has 3 stages: A, B, and C. If stage A has 6 outcomes, stage B has 4 outcomes, and stage C has 3 outcomes.
zimovet [89]

Answer:

72

Step-by-step explanation:

Stage A has 6 outcomes, then B has 4 and C has 3

Take for example only 1 outcome of A, it will have 4 outcomes of B and each outcome of B will have 3 outcomes.

Then a single outcome of A has a total of 12 outcomes (4*3)

Writing it in a way A, B, C:

1,1,1

1,1,2

1,1,3

1,2,1

1,2,2

1,2,3

1,3,1

1,3,2

1,3,3

1,4,1

1,4,2

1,4,3

This is only taking in consideration 1 outcome of A, A has a total of 6 outcomes.

The total of outcomes in the experiment = 6*12=72

SOME PLEASE HELP WITH THE ANSWER!! THANK YOU
Aloiza [94]

Answer:

Geometric

Ratio = 5:1

Step-by-step explanation:

Geometric sequence is when the relation between the numbers in the sequence is multiplication or division.

For an arithmetic sequence, it is difference as it includes addition or subtraction, but since this sequence is division, we have to use ratios.

The ratio is 5:1 because the previous number is 5 times larger than the following one.

Hope this helps
