Distance covered was 12km, 7km then another 5 so just 7+5. As there is a right angle, we can use Pythagoras’ theorem to figure out the displacement. This would be x^2 = 7^2 + 5^2, so x=8.6km

Which law of motion accounts for the following statement? "An apple accelerates as it falls from a tree."
belka [17]
Although one could definitely directly connect an "apple falling" with Newton's first law of motion, which is gravity, since the question states about acceleration, then we can relate the statement to Newton's second law of motion, the law of acceleration.

Difference between incident ray and reflected ray
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

An incident ray is a ray of light that strikes a surface. The angle between this ray and the perpendicular or normal to the surface is the angle of incidence.

The reflected ray corresponding to a given incident ray, is the ray that represents the light reflected by the surface. The angle between the surface normal and the reflected ray is known as the angle of reflection. The Law of Reflection says that for a specular (non-scattering) surface, the angle of reflection always equals the angle of incidence.
