Answer:

14 units

Solution,

A( 1,4)

B(3,6)

C(8,4)

D(3,2)

Now,

Finding the distance of A and C

A(1,4)----->(X1, y1)

C (8,4)---->(x2, y2)

AC :

√(x2,X1)^2+ (y2-y1)^2

\sqrt{ {(8 - 1)}^{2}  +  {(4 - 4)}^{2} }

\sqrt{ {(7)}^{2}  +  {(0)}^{2} }

\sqrt{49}

\sqrt{ {(7)}^{2}  }

7 units

AC = 7 units

By connecting BD, we get 2 triangles

i.e ∆ABD and ∆ BCD

Total area of polygon

= Area of ∆ ABD + Area of ∆ BCD

Area of ∆ABD

= 1/2 * base *height

= 1/2* BD * AO

= 1/2*4*2

= 4 units

Again,

Area of ∆BCD

= 1/2* base* height

= 1/2 * BD*CO

= 1/2*4*5

= 10 units

Total area:

= Area of ∆ ABD + Area of ∆ BCD

= 4 units +10 units

= 14 units

Hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment..

Answer:

14 sqr units

Step-by-step explanation:

divide the polygon into two triangle

the area of a triangle H = 1/2 *2 *7 = 7

so the area of the polygon = 2*H = 14

Need help, please!! Don't anwser if you don't know it!!!!!!
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

On the horizontal axis, as the discount (%) increases by 1(%), on the vertical axis; the sales increase (%) increases by 3(%).

When the discount is 10%, the sales increase is 32%.

When the discount is 20%, the sales increase is 62%.

20 - 10 = 10

10 × 3 = 30

32 + 30 = 62 (correct)

Which of the following is true about a parallelogram? A. Opposite angles of a parallelogram are not congruent. B. Parallelograms
mafiozo [28]

Answer: The option is D.

Step-by-step explanation:

A line that intersects another line segment and separates it into two equal parts is called a bisector.

In a quadrangle, the line connecting two opposite corners is called a diagonal. We will show that in a parallelogram, each diagonal bisects the other diagonal.

Problem

ABCD is a parallelogram, and AC and BD are its two diagonals. Show that AO = OC and that BO = OD

Strategy

Once again, since we are trying to show line segments are equal, we will use congruent triangles. And here, the triangles practically present themselves. Let’s start with showing that AO is equal in length to OC, by using the two triangles in which AO and OC are sides: ΔAOD and ΔCOB.

There are all sorts of equal angles here that we can use. Several pairs of (equal) vertical angles, and several pairs of alternating angles created by a transversal line intersecting two parallel lines. So finding equal angles is not a problem. But we need at least one side, in addition to the angles, to show congruency.

As we have already proven, the opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal in size, giving us our needed side.

Once we show that ΔAOD and ΔCOB are congruent, we will have the proof needed, not just for AO=OC, but for both diagonals, since BO and OD are alsocorresponding sides of these same congruent triangles.

ABCD is a parallelogram

Given

AD || BC

From the definition of a parallelogram

AD = BC Opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal in size

∠OBC ≅ ∠ODA                      Alternate Interior Angles Theorem, ∠OCB ≅ ∠OAD                      Alternate Interior Angles Theorem,

ΔOBC ≅ ΔODA

Angle-Side-Angle

BO=OD Corresponding sides in congruent triangles AO=OC Corresponding sides in congruent triangles.

27 Solve for x to the nearest tenth: x² + x - 5 = 0.
Anestetic [448]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the quadratic formula to get the answer to this

Quadratic Formula: -b +- √b² - 4ac/2a

Once we input A, B, and C into this, and solve any multiplication, we get

x = -1  +- √1 + 20/2

We divide by 2a, which 2a = 2.

-0.5 +- 10.5.

these are the following values of x:

x = 10

x = 11

Pretty sure this is it, hope it helps!

Write the following expression in the form of 4^n
pishuonlain [190]

Answer:

4^7

Step-by-step explanation:

4 * 4 * 4 * 4 = 256

4 * 4 * 4 = 64

Since the number is the same, another way to write the expression is 4^7.

256 * 64 = 16,384

Hope I helped! Please give me brainliest!
