Criminal investigators use biometric matching for fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, and iris recognition. When matchi

ng fingerprints, each subject is given a mean match score for how well their fingerprint matches the given fingerprint, based on different criteria. There are six criteria used to calculate the match score. The mean match score used by a particular police department is 80. If the police department finds a higher match score than this number, they consider the person a fingerprint match and a suspect in the crime. The null hypothesis is that the mean match score is 80. The alternative hypothesis is that the mean match score is greater than 80. Is the following a Type I error or a Type II error or neither

Answer:

This is an incomplete question.

Step-by-step explanation:

When we are "testing an hypothesis" there is a null hypothesis (H0) and and alternative hypothesis (Ha). We usually select the null hypothesis as the one we are intending to reject. For example in the present case the null hypothesis is

H0= the mean match score is 80.

And the alternative hypothesis:

Ha= the mean match score is greater than 80.

So, the above means that if H0 is true, the person will not be considered as a suspect of a crime, but is H0 is false and Ha is true, the person will be considered as a suspect.

When we are testing an hypothesis there different kind of erros that we can commit:

- Type I error: is the error that takes place when we reject H0 but it is actually true.

- Type II error: is the error associated to the situation in which we do not reject H0 when it is actually false.

- There are no error when we accept H0 and it is effectively true or when we reject H0 and it is false.

As in the statement there is no "following sentence" to decide if there is a Type I eror, Type II eror or neither, we only can explain as above.

a model of an apartment is shown 1\4 in. represents 3 feet in the actual apartment. Find the actual area of the master bedroom

1. A windshield wiper blade is 18 in Long. Calculate the area covered by the blade as it rotates through an angle of 122 degrees
sveta [45]

1. Area of a circle is pi x R^2

Area = 3.14 x 18^2

Area = 3.14 x 324= 1017.36 sq. In.

The blade covers 122 out of 360 degrees.

1017.36 x 122/360 = 345 square inches.

2.

Like above.

Area =3.14 x 75^2 = 17,662.5 square feet

17662.5 x 80/360 = 3,925 square feet.

draw a basic market graph. Title it the market for the product in your news article. Label axes, curves, eqilibruim price and eq
Vaselesa [24]

The basic market graph is attached below.

What do you mean by market equilibrium?

A market is said to have reached equilibrium price when the supply of goods matches demand.

The equilibrium price is the only price where the plans of consumers and the plans of producers agree, where the amount consumers want to buy of the product, quantity demanded, is equal to the amount producers want to sell, quantity supplied. This common quantity is called the equilibrium quantity.

Quantity of gasoline:

Explanation of graph: The demand curve, D, and the supply curve, S, intersect at the equilibrium point E, with an equilibrium price of 1.4 dollars and an equilibrium quantity of 600.

The equilibrium is the only price where quantity demanded is equal to quantity supplied. At a price above equilibrium, like 1.8 dollars, quantity supplied exceeds the quantity demanded, so there is excess supply.

At a price below equilibrium, such as 1.2 dollars, quantity demanded exceeds quantity supplied, so there is excess demand.
