Step 1: Add the two equations together to get just one equation.

2x + y + x - y = 5 + 1

Step 2: Simplify.

3x = 6

Step 3: Divide by 3 on both sides.

3x / 3 = 6 / 3

x = 2

Therefore, the answer is x=2

Most good managers enjoy mentoring employees. Most good managers are people- oriented individuals. Assuming these two statements
velikii [3]
Yes.

"Most" must be understand as more than half.

Then more than half of the managers enjoy mentoirng employees and more than half are people oriented, then some (at least one) managers both enjoy mentoring oriented and are people oriented. Which make true that some people-oriented individuals enjoy mentoring employees.

Solve for x please, will give braknliest
kow [346]
Answer: The answer should be 72

Explanation: Triangles add up to 180. The two bottom points are the same. So you would take 180 and subtract it by 36. That would give you 144. You would then take 144 and divide it by 2, because the two angles are the same and your only trying to find one.

-5/6+ -5/6 please help me
ehidna [41]
(-5/6)+(-5/6) have the same denominator (number at bottom of fraction), so all you have to do is add the numerator(top number). So -5 +-5 =-10 . Now you have -10/6, which simplifies to -5/3.
Hope this helps :)

A town is designing a rectangular park that will be 600 feet by 1000 feet. A rectangular area of the park for swing sets will be
drek231 [11]
Scale factor = 0.5 / 25 = 0.02 inches per foot

on scale drawing of the park the dimensuons will be 600 * 0.02 by 1000*0.02
= 12 inches by 20 inches

R = sec(θ) − 2cos(θ), where -π/2 < θ < π/2
Alex

Answer:

  y = (x/(1-x))√(1-x²)

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation can be translated to rectangular coordinates by using the relationships between polar and rectangular coordinates:

  x = r·cos(θ)

  y = r·sin(θ)

  x² +y² = r²

__

  r = sec(θ) -2cos(θ)

  r·cos(θ) = 1 -2cos(θ)² . . . . . . . . multiply by cos(θ)

  r²·r·cos(θ) = r² -2r²·cos(θ)² . . . multiply by r²

  (x² +y²)x = x² +y² -2x² . . . . . . . substitute rectangular relations

  x²(x +1) = y²(1 -x) . . . . . . . . . . . subtract xy²-x², factor

  y² = x²(1 +x)/(1 -x) = x²(1 -x²)/(1 -x)² . . . . multiply by (1-x)/(1-x)

  \boxed{y=\dfrac{x\sqrt{1-x^2}}{1-x}}

__

The attached graph shows the equivalence of the polar and rectangular forms.
