an ideal gas is at a pressure 1.00 x 10^5 N/m^2 and occupies a volume 11.00 m^3. If the gass is compressed to a volume of 1.00 m
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

P_2=1.1x10^6Pa

Explanation:

Hello.

In this case, we can solve this problem by applying the Boyle's law which allows us to understand the pressure-volume behavior as a directly proportional relationship:

P_1V_1=P_2V_2

In such away, knowing the both the initial pressure and volume and the final volume, we can compute the final pressure as shown below:

P_2=\frac{P_1V_1}{V_2}

Consider that the given initial pressure is also equal to Pa:

P_2=\frac{1.00x10^5Pa*11.00m^3}{1.00m^3}\\ \\P_2=1.1x10^6Pa

Which stands for a pressure increase when volume decreases.

Regards.

When an apple or banana is cut, a chemical reaction with air causes the flesh to turn brown. Placing the fruit in a cold place,
PIT_PIT [208]

Apples turn brown when exposed to air because it undergoes aerial oxidation.  Due to this, when the inside of the apple is exposed to the air containing oxygen and water, it turns brown. When apple is uncut, skin of the apple protects it from this process.

If the peeled apple in kept in the refrigerator, the oxidation reaction is greatly slowed down. This is because, rate of chemical reaction decreases with temperature. Hence, in refrigerator it would take several days for it to turn brown.

A strong acid like hcl _____.a strong acid like hcl _____.dissociates completely in an aqueous solutionis a strong buffer at low
vladimir2022 [97]
Answer: A strong acid like HCl dissociates completely in an aqueous solution.

By definition a strong acid is that that dissociates completely in aqueous solutions. That means that all the molecules of the acid will be inoized into hydronium cation (H3O+) and anion (the negative radical).

For expample, HCl is a strong acid because

HCl + H2O----> H3O(+) + Cl-

The forwar arrow indicates that all the molecules of HCl reacted with the water for form the ions.

B. If the sand you ran across has a specific-heat capacity of 835 J/(kgºc),
Murrr4er [49]

Answer: 16700 Joules

Explanation:

The quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of a substance by one degree Celsius is called the specific heat capacity.

Q=m\times c\times \Delta T

Q = Heat absorbed = ?

m = mass of sand = 2 kg

c = heat capacity = 835J/kg^0C

Initial temperature  = T_i = 40^0C

Final temperature= T_f  = 50^0C

Change in temperature ,\Delta T=T_f-T_i=(50-40)^0C=10^0C

Putting in the values, we get:

Q=2kg\times 835J/kg^0C\times 10^0C

Q=16700J

16700 J of energy must be added to a 2-kilogram pile of it to increase its temperature from 40°C to 50°C
