Answer:

600m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1

First step is to use declare variables  for Bill's and Susan's cruising speed.Let x the speed of Susan's plane. This implies that Bill's plane is x+30

Step 2

To calculate the time traveled given distance and speed we use the formula

t=\frac{d}{s}  where s is speed, d is the distance, t is the time.

The time taken by Bill's plane is t_b=\frac{800}{x+30}.

The time taken by Susan's plane is t_s=\frac{760}{x}

Step 3

Since the time taken by both planes is the same,  we solve for Susan's speed as shown below,

t_b=t_s\\\implies \frac{800}{x+30} =\frac{760}{x} \\\implies 800x=760(x+30)\\\implies 800x=760x+22\,800\\\implies 800x-760x=22\,800\\\implies 40x=22\,800\\\implies x=\frac{22\,800}{40} =570

Step 4

Since Susan's plane travels at a speed of 570mph, we can inder that Bill's plane travels at a speed of (570+30)mph=600mph.

The sides of a square are five to the power of two fifths inches long. What is the area of the square?
Feliz [49]
I believe the correct answer from the choices listed above is the first option. If the  sides of a square are five to the power of two fifths inches long, then the are of the square would be <span>five to the power of four fifths square inches. Hope this answers the question.</span>

(05.05)Polygon ABCD has the following vertices: A(−5, 4), B(1, 4), C(6, −4), and D(−5, −4) Calculate the area of the polygon.
ella [17]
The first thing you should do is draw the points in the Cartesian plane and then join them to find the polygon.
 The searched polygon can be seen in the attached image.
 The area of the polygon will be the area of the square plus the area of the triangle.
 At = (6) * (8) + (1/2) * (5) * (8) = 68
 At = 68
 answer
 the area of the polygon is 68units ^ 2

Find the dimensions of a rectangle whose perimeter is 22 meters and whose area is 28 square meters
kondaur [170]
You can solve this by finding all of the factors of 28 and seeing which ones add up to 22 when doubled.

The factors of 28 are as follows:

28 x 1      28(2) + 1(2) = 56 + 2 = 58 ≠ 22
14 x 2      14(2) + 2(2) = 28 + 4 = 32 ≠ 22
 7 x 4         7(2) + 4(2) = 14 + 8 = 22

The dimensions of the rectangle are 4 x 7.
