Firstly we need to find the common denominator:

2/3 - 1/5 =
= 10/15 - 3/15 =
= 7/15

We can't simplify it so that's the result :) I hope it will help you :)

It equals 7/15
1. find the least common multiple of the 2 denominators(bottom numbers)
for this problem: the lcm is 15(3 times 5)
2. the fractions will now be 10/15(2/3) and 3/15(1/59
3. subtract ONLY the numerators(upper numbers)
4. 10-3=7
5. your answer will be 7/15

Antonio Ruiz pays a monthly premium of $175 for health insurance. He can purchase dental care and vision
otez555 [7]
Answer: $240.83
explanation:

Since he pays health insurance MONTHLY, you multiply 175x12=1200.

Since the others are yearly, just add those too 1,200.

1200+595+195=2,890.

Since you are looking for his monthly total you want to divide 2,890 by 12. Giving you the answer $240.83

The owner of a video store has determined that the profits "P" of the store are approximately given by P(x)=-x^(2)+30x+76, where
Serjik [45]
P(x) = -x^2 + 30x + 76
For maximum profit, dP/dt = 0
-2x + 30 = 0
2x = 30
x = 30/2 = 15

The number of videos that must be rented to get the maximum daily profit is 15.

The maximum profit = -(15)^2 + 30(15) + 76 = -225 + 450 + 76 = $301.
