We find this to be somewhat true because we do have machines that work in factories to help build and manufacture products and goods but we do not have automeals. We may have things like microwavable food and Keurig coffee makers, but nothing as sophisticated as what he is describing.
When making a prediction about the future, it is important to not only think about what kind of things we will be able to do, but also about how we would be able to do it. It is true that we discover new things all the time that allow us to be able to accomplish more, however, it is likely that we will stay the same when it comes to the resources and things we have to make new inventions.
